2010 Board Matching Challenge
Join hands with Family Service’s Board of Directors! This year our board members have raised $355,000 in support of the 2010 Board Matching Challenge. If you make a gift between January 1 and June 30, 2010*, your generosity will be matched by our board as follows:
If this is your first gift to Family Service, or you have not made a gift since June 30, 2008:
Each dollar you give will be matched 2:1. For example, if you give $100, the board will match twice your gift amount, resulting in a $300 donation to Family Service.
All other donors:
Your gift will be matched 1:1 up to the amount you gave last fiscal year (7-1-08 to 6-30-09), and each dollar you give over that amount will be matched 2:1.
Example 1: You gave $100 last fiscal year and your current gift is $100:
Board matches 1:1, resulting in a $200 donation to Family Service.
Example 2: You gave $100 last fiscal year and your current gift is $150:
Board matches 1:1 up to $100 (your last gift), and 2:1 for your $50 increase, resulting in a $350 donation to Family Service.
* Does not apply to gifts in support of auxiliary events.

Planned Giving
A planned gift is a smart way to provide financial support that Family
Service needs to help build positive and productive lives, while you
are able to maximize tax benefits. If you would like to consider a
planned gift, please discuss this with a financial planner who can best
assist you with estate planning.

Endowment
Family Service’s endowment fund will sustain future services for
children, families and seniors in our community. This fund provides our
organization with financial stability. During times of economic
uncertainty, the endowment fund can provide needed funding to keep our
programs going. A gift to the endowment fund gives Family Service a
savings that creates interest and continues to help the organization
long after it is made. It is a wonderful option in leaving a lasting
legacy to Family Service.

Tribute Gifts
What a thoughtful way to acknowledge or remember your loved ones. Honor
and Memorial Tribute Gifts made to Family Service let someone you know
(and most likely someone you do not know) that you care. While honoring
or remembering a loved one, your gift is providing needed services to
help build positive and productive lives. And unless otherwise
specified, all Honor and Memorial Gifts go to the Endowment Fund,
making your gift lasting a lot longer than any bouquet of flowers.

Special Events
Sponsoring or giving to one of Family Service’s special events is a
perfect way to support the people we serve. Family Service has a number
